We are collecting donations and supplies for our annual back-to-school event for the children of farm workers. We will be providing backpacks, notebooks, paper, pencils, markers, and other supplies for the kids.
We will be preparing backpacks for 91 small children and 72 teenagers. We need:

You can participate in several ways:
1) Volunteer to pack backpacks and prepare for the event. We’ll need volunteers after church on July 30 and from 9:00am to noon on Monday, July 31. We have a lot of kids to support this year, so we’re going to need a lot of volunteers.
2) Volunteer to take the backpacks to the kids on July 31. We expect to leave the church a little after noon and to be done by 3pm.
3) Bring in school supplies to the church. You can drop off supplies at the church before or after our services on Sunday, July 23 or July 30. Alternately, you can bring in school supplies on Wednesday, July 26 during our Food Pantry hours or on July 31 around 9:00am.
4) Donate money to help us buy supplies. If you want to donate, please include the note “Back-to-School Event” on your check or with your online donation.
5) Order supplies through Amazon. Click the following link for our Amazon.com wishlist. Supplies must be delivered by January 30 in order to be included in the backpacks. We received everything on our Amazon wishlist, so the wishlist is now closed. Many thanks to everyone who donated.
