Backpack Update
($17,100 grant)

If you know of any shelters, homes… that need backpacks please inquire and forward the information to Nancy or Pam. Backpacks have been delivered to Foster care facility and Child Abuse center. We are working with the Farm Workers association in hopes of establishing a direct delivery to their facilities.

Special Prayers

Prayers working … Louis is cancer free and just completed a concert in Palm Springs where he performed 4 different songs.  God is good!

Keep prayers going for:  Dee, Marsha, Cathy, Bobby, Micah, Sheri
We know our Healing God will add the many more names that each of you are aware of along with those in need of healing and comfort.

Prayers for the leaders of Valley Ministries and for the person being prepared to become our Pastor.

Your hands are needed to give Food to those in need: 
        Wednesday 9:00 – 1:00 and Sunday 9:00 – 10:30

We have been blessed with 10 High School Students on Sunday mornings! They will assist in several areas of preparation of bags:  food, hygiene, dog food, cat food, beans, rice … They will also be sorting clothes.  And of course helping with coffee, warming sandwiches, and registering new clients. 

Special thanks to Rev. Ellen who made the contact with the Charter School who is sending over the Students to fulfill their Community Service requirement.

Our Food Pantry is a major blessing to our community  And now, providing a great experience for our young helpers.

Sunday Afternoon Movie

Last Sunday eight of us joined First Congregational Church and watched “Tender Mercies” while we ate Pizza, Popcorn, brownies, chocolate balls … and had soda and slushies. It was a great afternoon … and filling too!

A big Thank you to Rev. Scott and our special “sister church” for inviting and hosting us.
