On Sunday October 1, we will have our worship service at 9:00am at The Catalyst, located at 926 North Yosemite Street in Stockton, across the street from the Pride Center. Note the new location! We won’t have a service at 4118 Coronado on October 1.
Next, at 10:15am, Valley Ministries will co-lead the Opening Blessing for the Stockton Pride Festival. Come to the main stage to cheer us on! The Pride Festival will be on Yosemite Street on the same block as the San Joaquin Pride Center.
For our remote participants, our plan is to stream both our 9:00am worship service and the 10:15am Opening Blessing on Facebook Live.
MCC will have a booth at the Pride Festival, but our main presence there will be our volunteers who will be helping the SJ Pride Center staff the festival. We currently have eleven volunteers signed up to work shifts for the Pride Center. The main job for most of our volunteers will be to greet visitors while wearing our new Valley Ministries pride t-shirts.
In preparation for the festival, Pastor Scott has created a new brochure for the church. He’s also created visitor cards to help us keep in touch with visitors who come to the church.
At the festival and looking for a place to hang out? Come visit us at our booth! We are at booth 32. One of our pastors will be there all throughout the festival.
